Transform your Converse | One and only customized shoes

1

I always wanted to get a pair of studded sneakers.
Unfortunately, I could not find anything I really like, and somthing like Christian Louboutin shoes as shown below costs more than $2000.
Of course I didint want to spend that much lol

Christian-Louboutin-Mens-Sneakers-01

Oh well,, so I decided to make one on my own.
Firstly, I bought a pair of all-black all star Converse hi-top sneakers.
Next, I went to a local market to get some studs & rivets and hand mold tools.

The followings are the steps I did to make my own pair of studded sneakers.
2
Materials and tools required: 1 hammer, 1 set of studs & rivets, 1 set of hand mold press tool

** You can also easily find the tools online.

3 41. Draw a grid on sneakers, using a standard ruler and chalk, to spot where studs are going to be placed.

52. Make holes on each spot with a hand punch tool.

7
6
3. Place a rivet underneath, then put a stud with hand press mold tool.
Yeah, this is the most time consuming step. Repeat this step until you get all the studs on your desired spots.
8
Its inside will look something like this after putting all studs and rivets.

9 10Finally, here is the finished pair of my own customized studded sneakers!

Guess what? It took me 10 hours!
I know it is very time consuming, but I really do believe It’s worth spending time.
It is the only pair in the world that is made just for me 🙂
(I don’t know if I will do this again though lol)

Don’t know what to wear on a rainy day?

Here is a simple solution: A pair of rain boots and a mackintosh coat.
It never fails. It’s a British classic.

Many guys hesitate to wear Hunter boots in public, but it’s really a guy’s classic item. When rains, wear hunters. When snows, wear uggs. Simple.
Guys definitely can pull them off!

Will post how a man should wear uggs when it gets much colder 😉

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

Swatshirt: 3.1 Phillim Lim for Target
T-shirt: 3.1 Phillim Lim for Target
Jeans: Rag & Bone RB15X
Sneakers: Time Homme
Accessories- Miansai Metal Hook Bracelet, Cruciani Infinity Bracelet
Bag: Tumi Alpha Bravo Lejeune Backpack

Here I have two new items bought from Target in Canada.

I got the t-shirt for 19.99 and the sweats for 29.99

The quality is not that bad. They are pretty well made and texture of the fabrics are better than that of H&M. You can experience a bit of Phillip Lim’s craftsmanship for under $60. FYI, his tops usually priced at b/w 250-350.

Both tops have black-navy-brown camouflage
but the sweatshirt has much darker shades.

++Some of you might wonder why I put a khaki band with that look..I tried to match the nato band with my backpack and sneakers. (the band isn’t that light khaki. It’s actually much darker)

Anyway I know there are no good places for shopping in Canada. (London and Paris are the best) Don’t get me wrong, I love Canada, I just think Canada’s fashion industry (or fashion retails) has a lot of room for improvement. My point is that, If you are looking for something special or tired of buying stuff from forever 21, H&M, or Zara, then keep your eyes on Target.  They offer designer collaboration lines every year.

11S/S Burberry Prorsum Sleeveless Cropped Biker Leather Jacket

Image

This time I want to show you my favorite jacket!

It’s leather cropped biker sleeveless jacket from Burberry Prorsum 2011 Spring Collection, the BP’s all time best collections. Numbers of great leather jackets introduced.

Retail priced at $1700, so around $1900 with tax.
(It is definitely a big investment but.. it’s the jacket that lasts forever!!

It was very hard to get this one as most of the leather items from this collection were completely sold out worldwide. however I was lucky enough to finally have one in hand from a buddy in UK.

Anyway,, if you put this on for the very first time you would immediately notice its heavy weight. It is real heavy!!
The leather has superb quality and it is solid, thick, firm, and “tumbled”.
The wrinkles and vintage look of the vest are simply amazing.

How I wear this? check out my previous post at

Here are some shots of mine.

And some official runway/campaign/model pics:

This time I want to introduce my favorite military boots!
I was in the army for 2 years and those were the pair provided to all soldiers.

Black, very solid, real leather (surprisingly lol) and rubber sole.
Its a complete MAN stuff.

It actually matches very well with most of the pants. of course jeans are the best.

Vest: 2011 Spring Burberry Prorsum Tumbled Leather Biker Vest
Shirt: H&M

Belt: DENHAM
Combat Boots: Mr. Guddn’s own item

The boots look great with my Burberry Prorsum Leather Vest and the cargo.
Tough and masculine look.

*Tip: Give a little twist on the belt. You will definitely have fun wearing it.
Trust me. It will make a whole different stylish look.
